How did MEDIchair get started in Canada and how did it
evolve to where it is today?
MEDIchair was established in 1985 in Brandon, Manitoba.
The company opened its first franchise store in 1988 and in
2000 moved its Home Office to Calgary, Alberta. Growing
consumer demand and a successful franchise model developed
specifically for the Home Medical Equipment (HME)
marketplace has fueled the company's success.
Where did the MEDIchair name come from?
The MEDIchair name arose from the first product ever
marketed by the company, a lift chair.
